Presentation

ALMA VAQUERA,

group of riders from the south of France, in the Camargue,

region of equestrian traditions and breeding bulls fighting.

Adepts and enthusiasts of "doma vaquera", all participate in national and international competitions in the discipline.

Under the direction of Denis MARQUES, this group created an equestrian show,

which is an evocation of Andalusian "campo", from which he draws his inspiration.

Presentations of "doma vaquera", high school Spanish, carousels, music and dance "flamenco" ...

everything contributes to transport the public in a typical Andalusian universe.

The choreography is original, the rhythm removed and the show is colorful.

The riders of the ALMA VAQUERA group make a point of honor to evolve

in the constant respect of the Andalusian vaqueros tradition.

Denis MARQUES ,

French rider, born in the Camargue at Saintes maries de la Mer, bull breeding area,

Denis Marques discovers the Doma Vaquera during a performance of Rafael Jurado, undisputed master of this discipline.

Denis is the spearhead of this horse riding which he will long remain the only practitioner in France,

and the first foreign rider to compete in Spain.

Founding member of the French Association of Doma Vaquera (AFDV), he will be elected president in 1988.

Installed in Arles, he trains horses for owners,

introduces riders to this discipline and prepares them for the competition.

He directs the Andalusian equestrian ballet '' ALMA VAQUERA '', which occurs everywhere in France and abroad .
